Basically, yeah. I wasn't miserable when I was there (I wouldn't have taken the job I thought I was going to be), good times with good people, but I wouldn't want to live there for any period of time. Whitby is too small, London is too large. Glasgow is Just Right.

It's where you go for bass music. It's where dubstep, future garage, mutant funk etc belong, it's where all the post 2step stuff came from. It's a tiny pitch black room where there's nothing but the sound system and you.
