Hello, Yuletide Writer! Thank you so much in advance, and allow me to (hopefully, maybe) give you some ideas about what I'd love to see in a Yuletide story.
Assassin’s Creed
I specified Ezio on this, but really, I love everything to do with this universe. Some ideas/things I would like to see: Ezio with anyone (particularly Leonardo, Yusuf, or Claudia) slice of life, romantic or not; anything with Claudia, because she’s awesome; anything with Yusuf, because I fell in love with him after about 0.2 seconds of screen time (Getting to know Ezio! Going on a mission! Seriously, anything.); a look at Leonardo’s life with Salai; Altair with his son(s). I’m sorry my prompts are so vague, but the truth is, there is such a dearth of good fic for this fandom. I’ll be happy with whatever you write.
(Also, I have finished the game, so don’t worry about spoiling me. :)
15th Century CE RPF - Leonardo da Vinci (or, more accurately, 15th-16th Century)
I’m just gonna leave this here: “Leonardo's most intimate relationships were perhaps with his pupils Salai and Melzi. Melzi, writing to inform Leonardo's brothers of his death, described Leonardo's feelings for his pupils as both loving and passionate.” And also this: “ A page of drawings by Leonardo includes a sketch depicting Salaì from behind, pursued by a horde of penises on legs.”
So, you know, that’s freaking hilarious.
But seriously, I’d love a look at Leonardo’s relationship(s) with his pupil(s). I strongly prefer Salai, but if you want to write about others (or a combination), go for it. Leonardo is so intriguing, and there’s so much about him to speculate on (at least to this layperson). I’m sure you know more than I do about him, so have fun!
Warchild
Again, I specified Dorr and Cairo on this one, but that was mostly because there were only four(!) characters nominated. If you want to write about Jos and Niko, I’m perfectly cool with that. I love just about everyone, so go nuts. Ryan with his dad or Sid; Dorr with Cairo (their first meeting would be fun to see, for example); Dorr with anyone (let’s face it, I love Erret); Yuri and Finch. (Though if you do go with Yuri, please ease up on the angst. Boy’s had enough tragedy, you know?) Karin Lowachee’s written some pretty hilarious little easter eggs about Jos, Ryan, and Yuri on Macedon. Any interaction between them would be awesome.
Things I love: comedy as long as it’s not absurd, tragedy as long as it’s not gratuitous or overly melodramatic. Pining (as long as it’s eventually requited) is good. I prefer subtlety to drama. I’m fine with everyday, slice-of-life scenes or long, involved epics. I like gen, slash, and sometimes het. I definitely like smut, but it’s totally not essential. *grin*
Things I don’t like: anyone acting out of character, non-con, dub-con (even hints; very light BDSM is okay, but it has to be fully and unambiguously consensual), bashing of any kind (misogyny, character-bashing, partner-bashing, etc.), really wild kink, PWP
And finally, THANK YOU AGAIN! And if I may say so, you have excellent taste. ;)
