Philosophical Question #1

You are suddenly asked if you wanted immortality.

Do you take it?

If you begin to say yes, it is granted and cannot be changed.
If you begin to say no, they disappear forever.

Note: Immortality means you cannot be killed. Ever. Begin the discussion!

I'm ginna say No,
Due to my belief system I believe god has put us on this earth for as long as we need it, and then we can go have our immortality in heaven, a place with out sin, without sorry, without troubles... i much rather that then immortality on earth... Also aside from beliefs I wouldnt want to live to watch everyone i know and love die before my eyes, i would be able to watch my children die, and they're children and so on, the pain would be unbarable, it's just not worth it unless i was heartless

Yeah I'd have to agree with you. I can;t bare seeing the people I love die infront of me.. it would suck ot live forever.

You don't think you'd get over that eventually? You would have an entire world to explore, and possibly more. What REALLY is a black hole? Do worm holes exist? What's at the bottem of the ocean? Does Atlantis exist? Questions like that you could find out.

If you haven't noticed, i'm the bastard who sits on the wall in this topic :)

As I said, I'll be spending long enough in heaven doing whatever I feel, without pain, or sadness... I'll take that anyday.
