I had tubes put in my ears SEVERAL times when I was a kid. I don't remember anything painful, just having to wear ear plug and a swim cap in the pool. Later, I did have to have my tonsils out as well because my chronic ear infections turned into chronic strep throat... I think I became immune to the cheap antibiotic amoxicillin as well.

I hope he gets better!!!
