1) I hate writing cover letters. I'm tired of sending out resumes. Job searching has gotten really good at leaving my self esteem crippled. Squee! I have an interview! It's only a part time gig, but a job is a job. Plus, it's working for Art of Loving, which is basically the Babeland of Vancouver. Such a fun place to work, and something I'm totally qualified to do!

Don't want to get my hopes up though.

Went hiking today, just to get my ass out of the house. I've been in a bit of a depression funk. I'm not very productive or very happy when I'm not working. So I took Ger up to North Van with the idea of tackling one of my goal hikes, the Baden-Powell Trail.

Work has officially gotten dull. Not much I can do about that, since I suppose that is the world of entry level office positions. But as a receptionist, you're basically just supposed to "be" there in case anything happens, and to be the recipient of all the tasks no one else has time/wants to do.

I think I'm going to run a 5k in August. My lungs have healed faster than I thought they would, and I'm going to start running this week. And since one of my goals is to run a 5K for charity, I thought I'd get on that and plan things. I found one in West Vancouver that only costs $30 to enter, and that can be run for the charity of your choice ( Read more... )
