The Neverending Story, Michael Ende

One of my favorite childhood movies, so I really wanted to like the book. But once we got past where the movie ends, it dragged and dragged and dragged until they got to the POINT, and then the last third was good. But the middle bit, where Bastian was just wandering around, being a prat? Nearly insufferable.
