I was actually thinking about bringing along a pocketknife, just in case -- it doesn't say I *can't*, and I can totally sharpen pencils with that!

Or, y'know, they could stop being stupid and let me have a mechanical pencil. (I suspect that one's about those people who nervously click their pencils all the time, since we're *also* not allowed to have earplugs.)

They shouldn't give you grief; pencil sharpener's on the list of approve items, at least the one I've got.

Course, my test got Called on Account of Flood. -sigh- Won't find out for probably a week when it's rescheduled.

Sadly, after all of this, they didn't even inspect. Anything.

The TSA rules are easier -- I know what they are, and I actually have a pre-packed baggie that's just grab and go.

This was annoying because it was a *new* set of stupidity to deal with.
