I'm glad Obama won. I think his acceptance speech was really good. (Take a bow, Toby and Sam. Or whoever you are.)

Why? LA and Alameda both went heavily No on 8 ... which is part of why I'm so flabbergasted people are trying to pull the "OMG Evull brown people hate teh ghey!" card, given that the Central Valley -- not known for its PoCness -- went overwhelmingly Yes on 8.

the maps say that l.a. county voted for prop 8. the margins might be thinner here than in some other places, but I thought this county would defeat it.
