my uncle alwin passed away on friday.  this is the 3rd death in less than a year on my father's side, and 4th death for my family in the past year and a half.

i'm sort of in a state of shock.  i'm so perplexed about this - why?

shock seems to be a normal reaction to grief. I remember feeling that way back when I was 12 and my grandfather died...maybe more numbness than shock, as he was sick for quite awhile, but yeah.

Anyways, I'm sorry your family has been facing so many losses recently. *hugs*

Augh :( I am so sorry. They say these things come in threes, but that's just ridiculous.
