Summary: Jin wants to be together with Kame again but certain obstacles, like Koki, are in the way. Kame thinks he doesn’t feel anything for Jin anymore but circumstances cause him to think otherwise. As one moves closer, the other tries to push away. What will be the outcome of this crazy love?.. Hahaha.. I suck at making summaries..XD
Chapter 2
Sunday 11:30 A.M..
Jin woke up to the sun piercing his eyes. He looked at the clock on his bedside table and grumbled, “I overslept AGAIN? Curse you stupid alarm for not waking me up!”
He slowly got up and took a shower. As the cold water ran through his body, he decided not to think about Kame for a while. Today, he would forget his personal problems and just take a stroll around the neighborhood.
After showering, he left his apartment and decided to eat lunch first. It was a breezy day and he shivered slightly as he turned to go inside a small restaurant. The place was full except for a small corner in the back.
He took a seat and waited for someone to take his order but no one came. He tried calling a waiter but still they didn’t notice him. He was getting impatient and the noise from the other table was irritating him.
“Damn it. Since nobody seems to notice I’m here, I’ll just go eat somewhere else.”
He started to leave. But as he stood up, a familiar tune echoed from the restaurant’s sound system. He swore under his breath as the soft notes of Kizuna reached his ears.
He gritted his teeth and said, “Now isn’t this just a lovely coincidence.”
Covering his ears, he went out. He didn’t feel hungry anymore. And that was saying something. He was surprised how much one song could do to him.
“Now what?” he asked himself.
He checked his watch and saw that it was only 1:00 p.m. He looked around and saw kids playing with a puppy. He suddenly remembered that he forgot to feed his dogs before he left that morning.
“Ah, shit!” he cried out. But he covered his mouth quickly as the people around stared at him. “Why am I swearing too much recently?” he thought to himself. “Stupid mouth! Stupid insults! And stupid me for forgetting to feed the dogs!”
He sighed. His dogs could wait for a few more hours, couldn’t they? His apartment was a bit too far and he still wasn’t in the mood to go home yet. To make it up to them later, he decided to buy them a treat.
He shivered again as another cold breeze swept past him. He continued walking until he reached the pet store. There was only the elderly store owner, a little girl and her mom inside.
Jin looked around and found two squeaky toys and two large bones to take home to his dogs. As he neared the counter, he heard the store owner speaking.
“And what would you like to call your turtle little girl?”
“Onee-chan said that I should call him Kazu!” piped the little girl.
Jin almost fell over after hearing the little girl’s words. How could he forget Kame when every time he turned, something would always remind him of the younger man?
The store owner smiled. ”It’s a strange name for a turtle, isn’t it?”
“That’s what I told onee-chan but,” the girl signaled for the store owner to come closer.
“What is it?” he asked while leaning closer to her.
Jin thought the little girl tried to whisper but he could still her words though.
“Onee-chan told me to name it after her favorite artist. Do you know Kamenashi Kazuya from KAT-TUN?” asked the little girl happily.
Jin accidentally dropped the things he was carrying. Once again he cursed under his breath. He then bent down and picked up the objects on the floor.
The old man chuckled. “No, I don’t know him. I am an old man and I can’t keep up to date with the recent trends. Anyway, Kazu it is then.”
The store owner scribbled on some papers and handed it over to the girl’s mother.
“Thank you for coming and if ever you need anything for your turtle, please don’t hesitate to come here.” He bowed.
“Thank you very much.” The girl’s mother bowed too. “We’ll be leaving now.”
Jin watched as the two of them left the store.
“Would you like to buy something, sir?” said the old man.
Jin nodded and handed over the stuff he chose to the store owner. A few minutes later, he emerged from the store with an unreadable expression on his face.
The breeze was stronger now and Jin knew that it would probably rain in a few minutes so he quickened his pace and proceeded to the grocery store to buy a few more necessities before going home.
He took longer than he expected because he had some difficulty fishing out the coins from his pocket so by the time he went out of the store, it had already started to rain.
“Oh great. This is just perfect!” Jin said. It turned out to be a not-so-good day after all.
He paused for a moment to try and solve his problem. He tried to catch a taxi but they were all full. He finally decided to call Ueda and ask the older man to fetch him.
Ueda picked up after two rings. “What is it Jin?”
“Ueda, can you fetch me here at the grocery store? It’s raining hard and I can’t find an empty taxi.”
“Sorry Jin, but I have guests coming over today but I can ask Kame to fetch you.” Ueda replied.
“Eh? He’s at your house right now? What is he doing there?” Jin shouted through the noise of the rain.
“He came to return some CDs he borrowed. Oh, here he is. Wait, Kame since you’re going out, can you fetch Jin at the grocery store and take him home?” Jin heard Ueda say.
“No, no! I’ll call Maru instead!” Jin shouted quickly.
“He’s not at home now. He went to his parent’s place yesterday.”
“Then I’ll call Junno then!”
“Idiot! Junno lives 20 minutes away from there!” shouted Ueda.
Kame only stared as his two band mates argued over the phone. He could fetch Jin but he was afraid of being alone with him.
“You also can’t ask Koki too because he’s a guest at some radio show right now. And besides, it is okay for Kame to fetch you isn’t it Kame?” Ueda looked back at his friend.
“Who said I’d ask Koki?” thought Jin furiously while waiting for Kame’s answer. “I might tear his head off if he comes near me.”
Kame was trapped. There was no escaping that sharp gaze of his friend. He gulped and nodded at Ueda.
“It’s settled then.” said Ueda. “He’ll be there in 5 minutes Jin.” Ueda hung up.
Jin closed his phone and shouted, “Aaaargh! Damn it!”
He didn’t need to cover his mouth that time because the noise of the rain drowned his voice. He waited silently inside the store as he continued to stare at the heavy rain pouring outside.
Kame grasped the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles were turning white. “Why do I have to fetch him by myself?” he thought.
He suddenly remembered the pinky ring inside his jacket pocket. He took it out and looked at it. A wave of nostalgia swept over him as he recalled Jin’s warm touch for the second time.
Kame’s heart began to beat faster as he neared the grocery store. “Why am I feeling this way? I thought I had my feelings under control. But why is my heart beating faster?”
As Jin counted down the minutes, he felt himself becoming more and more restless. He was excited to see Kame but at the same time he was afraid, afraid that he might do something stupid again.
Finally, Kame’s ride pulled up outside of the store. Jin stepped out of the store and into the pouring rain.
“Get in.” said Kame while opening the door.
Was it just him or was Kame’s voice shaking just now? Jin got in, his hair and clothes a bit drenched by the rain and he shut the door.
“Thanks for fetching me. I hope I didn’t cause you inconvenience.” said Jin as he removed his drenched outer shirt.
“Uh, no problem.” Kame replied nervously as Jin’s medium-built frame caught his eyes.
Jin looked up and Kame did too. The two looked at each other and the same awkward silence followed.

A/N: Ack ack ack.. I feel so evil right now!!.. XDDD I was actually laughing while writing this!.. Aaah, but the first part sounds kinda sucky to me though.. But I love the last part!!!!.. *Vain much?!?!* hahaha.. I am soo proud of myself!!!.. I had writer’s block before but it rained a few hours ago and I felt inspired by it!!.. Hahaha..
