Nice job on the ending - happy but knowing there is still work to do on the memories. I like that you left it open observing that with this type of disorder (post traumatic stress) there is no guaranteed ending of symptoms. Yami and Yugi came a long way in this story, from the first meeting and then then the part where Yugi wanted to introduce his friends. The conflict with the bully crowd and the part where Yami "took care of the problem" so to speak. The whole series of events was very realistic, not drawn out at all. Every scene really needed to be there to tell the whole story and all the feelings Yami and Yugi were experiencing. Again, great job. Your writing gets better with every story. It makes for a Happy Thanksgiving!

A beautiful ending to a beautiful fan fiction. This is just as good as any one book I might pull off the shelf in a bookstore and with fan fiction, especially Yugioh fanfiction, that is a rare thing to see. It's stories like these that make me glad I'm a part of a very creative fandom. Yugi's and Yami's relationship weathered the ups and downs that comes with real love, possibly making this closest to a 'real life' story as a fan fic can get. I truly enjoyed this story and its wonderful message. Love can't always save everyone in the end but it's certainly worth fighting for when it's true. :)

Thank you! Both for this one and for your supportive comments along the way. I always loved getting your comments and hearing what you thought. =') In the end, the message that love can't fix everything -- but that it is still powerful -- was what I hoped the story would convey. I'm so glad to hear that it did and that it was enjoyable. <3

Lovely ending! <3 Cheesiness is forgiven, because it's adorable when it comes to these two. X3

About the fic in general: I loved it, for it's original plot and wonderfully written angst~. Plus, I like the idea of Yami needing Yugi and not the other way around; (there's a severe overload of dependant-emo-weak Yugi out there

='DDDDD

You have totally made my day with this long review. <333 It tells me that everything I really really hoped would come out in this fanfic did. =3 I had a ton of hopes riding on this fic and sometimes felt like what I really wanted it to say and feel like wasn't coming across. I feel more confident now. ^_^

I'm glad I inspire you! I'll keep doing my best to!

Well, I started posting it in 2009, but I started writing it in 2007. xD I putter around with my fics a ton before I ever start posting them.

I've gotten a couple comments like yours, people saying that they've been in Yugi's position before. I actually have as well -- a lot of Yugi's anxiety and fear was based on my own worry about people I love. I wish this kind of thing would just stay fictional, but it sadly seems to happen a lot in real life. =( I'm so sorry to hear that you've had to go through it and that your boyfriend hasn't faced up to his demons yet. I truly hope he does someday.

Thank you so much for the comments and support, especially considering that it was painful for you to read something so close to home. I'm really grateful. <3

This was an awesome fanfiction, grounded in reality, gritty and very sad at times, but still allowing for that ray of hope at the end. Good luck to Yugi and Atem!
