I just figured it had to be written sometime. I didn't realize it would be by me until I had an idea around lunch that demanded to be written before the new episode aired.

I really like how you've unrolled this relationship! They are so sweet here. I love that this exists! (I've been thinking about Abed/Shirley myself since the interview in which Yvette said that since we don't canonically know how old Abed is, he could be about Shirley's age and a love interest for Shirley if the show ever headed that way. [Not as a serious suggestion, but she was responding to the interviewer asking how she thought Jeff/Britta vs. Jeff/Annie was going to go - kind of disrespectful of the interviewer to ask her that when it has nothing to do with Shirley, I think!])

Right, and I remember her saying she was surprised about no fic after their storyline in the Genealogy episode. So I was inspired by Yvette.

Love it! Not gonna lie, I've never really thought about their relationship before, but you made it work well. And if I were still a kid, Abed would be the best babysitter EVER.

Forgive me for taking a while to respond to you, but I did want to thank you for both reading and reviewing. Before writing it, I hadn't thought of the relationship before, either, but since Yvette wondered why there was no Shirley/Abed fic out there, I had to do something to change it. :)
