Dinomon research

Feb 18, 2008 14:49

PLEASE NOTE. Since my thread on Poképlushies got locked due to IDIOTS spamming and not reading the rules, I'll be posting and updating all the Dinomon-related informations here. You're more than welcome to comment with new theories and findings, but remember that this is my private journal, I'm keeping this updated on my free time and my patience is already running low. So I will IP-ban all idiots who try to spam here too.

To add an image to your comment, you must use HTML. This is an example:
Do NOT post the link to your adoptables unless it's a rare Dinomon or something that you think should be in the guide. Posting a link to your pokeball/digivice/etc is spam, it will piss me off and it will get you banned.

About Dinomon
Dinomon are adoptable creatures designed by Quetzal and Cydewinder from Poképlushies. You can "adopt" Dinomon eggs from their site, click on the eggs to raise their level, and after some time the eggs will evolve into dinosaur-like creatures.
You can only click each Dinomon once per day, so to level up them quickly you can use the Click Exchange, a place where you can level up people's adoptables and receive credits, which in turn are used to level up your adoptable.

Current species
Terasaur: February 3rd to ???
(Cyde has said that they'll be available for over a month)

  • Pick up an egg from the Nest.
  • Around level 50-100 the eggs hatch into a baby Terasaur.
  • Around level 120 the baby turns into its final adult form.
From the Dinomon Information page: "Dinomon are a curious species, they appear to become more fearsome the quicker they become adults. If your Dinomon takes a long time to become an adult, it will grow up into a normal Dinomon that anyone can take care of, but if you get one that grows up too quickly, you might get one of the Corrupted Dinomon which only the greatest Dinomon tamers can control."

There are four different adult forms, depending on how quickly the Dinomon was leveled up.
The following is our current guess of the time limits for each form. Something else influences the adult form, since it is possible that Dinomon that have been leveled up in as short as 4 hours don't turn corrupt, but most Dinomon seem to follow this pattern.
  • Less than 12 hours: Corrupted
  • 12 to 24 hours: Fuchsia
  • 24 to 36 hours: Orange
  • More than 36 hours: Crimson
From the Dinomon Information page: "Dinomon also appear to absorb trace amounts of their environment. If you're extremely lucky you might end up with a rare Dinomon that has taken on attributes of one of the four main divisions. Not much is known about these Dinomon, but if you do find one, the Division Leaders have set up a research facility that will be very interested. There's a rumor going around that they are actually rewarding people who show them special Dinomon with other creatures they've found on this new planet."

There are four Rare Dinomons based on the four Divisions. Getting a Rare one seems to be totally luck-based. If you have a Rare Dinomon you can obtain a Promo Dinomon from the Division Leaders.
Below are the Promos discovered so far:

Dinomon Handlers
From the Dinomon Information page: They will take any fully grown Dinomon off your hands for you. This is a permanent trade that can not be reversed, but in return they will give you points that you can eventually use to purchase exclusive creatures they have found on this planet.

You can only trade common adult Dinomons in exchange for points. Eggs, babies and rare Dinomons can not be traded. The trade is definitive. The Dinomon you trade will have its image changed to a big "TRADED" sign, and its level will be reset to 1.
One Crimson Terasaur is worth 1 point. One Orange Terasaur is worth 2 points. One Fuchsia Terasaur is worth 3 points. One Corrupted Terasaur is worth 4 points.

Hornfang: February 17th to ???

Neutral Hornfangs cost 10 points.
Land, Sea, Sky and Space Hornfangs cost 20 points.

Hornback Dragon: February 24th to ???

Neutral Red, Yellow, Green and Blue Hornback Dragons cost 20 points.
Land, Sea, Sky and Space Hornback Dragons cost 40 points.

About stolen eggs
From the Dinomon Information page: Be careful though, I have heard rumors that if you take too long to hatch your egg, it may be stolen by egg thieves.
If your egg hasn't hatched after three days it will have a random chance of being stolen, and this chance increases as more time passes. Therefore it is recommended that you don't adopt many eggs at once unless you're sure you can level them up quickly. Stolen eggs will have their images changed to a mount of earth with a "STOLEN" sign over it, and will no longer change or evolve. Babies and adults will not be stolen.
