Sometimes I look at my life and I wonder what the hell it is that I'm up to. I'm in that no-man's land of childhood and maturity, and I have to wonder if my current state is just a product of my culture or if it's something that is actually unusual ( Read more... )

I don't think there's anything wrong with what you're doing. Grad school isn't for everyone--it was definitely for me, but not everyone. I believe you'll be able to get a better airline, too.

I'd start writing some short stories that are along the lines of flash fiction. Build up from there only if you want. <3

Do not "search" for someone. It will only end in heartbreak and flames. Whenever it is meant to be, if it is meant to be, you will find each other.

Do not compare or judge or lives by the way others have lived it. This is your life, and the only one we know for sure that we have. Plan for things, do things... yes. But do them for you. Not because you think it is how life should be lived.

I feel like I just read on paper my own inner thoughts, except that the 'living with friends' is more 'apartment of my own' and I'm 30 instead of 26. But everything else pretty much thought for thought. I'd love to go to grad school, but can't afford to right now. My job is just good enough to support myself and my cat, and the desire to have a family is more like a 'maybe one of these days if the opportunity presents itself' type deal ( ... )
