I am a little bit against people who sort of take their dogs around on wheels. My problem with it, is the state of life of the dog. I know from our park that some owners take their dogs in a pram when they are about 16 years old and in terrible health! If a dog cannot walk and enjoy their walks, maybe the owners should think about putting them down?

I think if the dog is still enjoying life and not in pain then its no problem. Also all dogs are different but sometimes owners have got to make difficult decisions and not be indefinitely kept alive if they have no standard of life :(

omg I have brought your post totally down! I am sorry!

No, that's okay....I totally see your point. I think with Sky though, he was in (reasonably) good health (for his condition), he just couldn't walk very far. He was super friendly and alert when I bent down to say hello, and when Mac sniffed at him. The whole idea of a walk without being able to sniff at things though....I don't know. Maybe just getting fresh air is a good idea for doggies and humans alike.
