She understands you, which when you look back on your life, is all you ever wanted.
Oh, absolutely: that's exactly what he wants, and Callie really seems to. She also accepts him, as a whole human being with flaws and strengths and idiosyncrasies and, because of that, she gets to see the real man.
I loved this. It's gorgeous, sad, a little hopeful and very in character. I totally felt Mark's feelings, and I could also see it playing out in my head thanks to your lovely, visual writing style.
I haven't seen many fics about that scene and it sort of upsets me. Mark is a complex man that obviously Shonda feels should end up alone but in this fic, he realises that he really isn't. He'll always have Callie and if that's enough for him, then it's enough for me =]
I love the dynamic between those two, I just wish it would be shown more for us. That line "You're good for more than just sex..." summed up everything for Mark and Callie and in the same way, he understands her too. Soul mates.
Of course everyone has flaws but a true friend is one who has the patience to see past everything and stay.
Meh. Unfinished. Incomplete...anything else along those lines but things may turn out okay. Mark, left alone again. This time I was banking on him not speaking to Lexie at all but I guess he just made things worse by telling Jackson anything and of course he tells Lexie but tends to leave out half of the truth.
I honestly felt sorry for him because of what Lexie said: she loves him but Jackson makes her happy. As opposed to what? It reminded me of a fic someone wrote but I can't remember if it was citron_presse or literarycritic. In this case, Mark said the same thing to Addison when he was referring to Lexie before all the baby drama.
As for the finale in general, I saw that most people didn't like it, it didn't go out with a bang like last year. But, it did touch one something a bit more profound, especially when it comes to love.

Can't type coherently, am trying not to cry here...
Edit: Mark is so complex and beautiful and more of a man that some people care to realise.
This = memories. Adding now.

And yes he is! I'm tired of people putting him down all the time too.
