The unfortunate thing about human beings is that we are never satisfied. I keep asking myself why my life seems so dull, why it sucks so much. I think about the things I'm supposed to have going for me and I get all moody and miserable. That's rather difficult to think about, especially for me but I'll try anyway. Appreciating the Silence
I remember a class that I had a couple years ago, where the teacher gave us a rather peculiar homework assignment.
"When you go home," she said "turn off all the things that could distract you and just sit and listen to the sounds from outside."
