Oh, I forgot to say: I'm about to send you a Xmas gift (I know, I'm late), but I received it too late from the... bookshop. (here, I say it).
I think you're going to be surprised by it! :)

But I already got the gorgeous drawing! Not that I'll say no to anything printed and in book form, though. ;)

You'll understand why I couldn't resist when I see it. I just gaped at the cover while I was looking for an entirely different thing. :)
(er, gorgeous drawing? I changed it twice before I was satisfied... I'm still not anyway. *g*).

A real advent calendar! Oh.

I will be back to spend time with Gideon when my f'list is not skip 133. :-)

I've only got five dictionaries for three languages, and three of those are bilingual dictionaries. I once read the Latin/Latin dictionary at the uni!

No need to rush, dear. :)

Oh, the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae? We have that, too, at the institute. :)

I can't remember what it's called.
The Latin-English dictionary is by Lewis and Short (?). I think this one it just by Short. I tend to shy away from them. I have my Oxford Duden English-German dictionary and am looking for a good German language disctionary.

Yes, Lewis and Short, the huge reference dictionary published by OUP.

A German-German one? Langenscheidt's Deutsch als Fremdsprache. If you're looking for a larger one, try the Duden Großwörterbuch.
As for English-German, German-English, the newest (and also best at present) is the Langscheidt-Collins Großwörterbuch. Very, very good.
