My roommates are kicking me and Ray out. They bought a dog, and feel that their want to have a dog is more important than my need to breathe. They've even started bringing it into the house already, and want to know why we can't "compromise" on this. I'm sorry, I'm not risking my health on a goddamn compromise for a house I don't like when I don ( Read more... )

Right now, we're both so pissed off that we can't WAIT to gtfo. But we're pretty sure we've found a place, and it even works out to be cheaper for us two to live there than the three remaining roommates to continue living here. (It makes me a bad person that I enjoy that. Oh well!)

Wow...

Best of luck to y'all, that's pretty insane. And erhm, I am a little far away for actual presents to be sent, but I already gave you my address, right? If you *do* send anything, make sure it's in an envelope. Boxes have to go through customs and are doomed to never reach their destination.

What's your address? I want to send you a Nica Postcard!

I will double-check that I have your address, but I'm fairly certain I do. Is a large envelope okay, or only letter-sized?

Once we stopped freaking out and started looking at places for rent nearby, I think we'll be okay. We even have a tentative third roommate for a time, so that's nice. And on that note, I'm going to hold off on giving you my address until I get the new one!

A large envelope is grand.

Yay for new homes! Yay for new roommates! And, really, where did the get off thinking it would be okay to get a dog when a roommate is allergic? (Or, asthmatic, as the case might be.)

Also, what's with the "glitter=herpes"? Every time I see it I get a little twinge of "arrrrr" in me, because it makes me think of when I got this horrid yeast infection and the doctor ran an entire fleet of STD tests on me, despite my telling him "No, I am definitely a virgin and have not participated in anything that could possibly lead to an STD," because I had all the symptoms for herpes. The test came out clean, but we still don't know what was up with that and I hope it never comes back again. Ick.

eeeeks! That herpes scare really sucks. The tag line came from a chat really late at night, where we spiraled down to talking about how glitter gets everywhere and spreads to everyone you touch: it's the herpes of the crafts world! It was a whole bunch of ridiculousness.

I have a new address for you! If it will arrive in the US from Nov 14 or later, you should send a postcard to 507-102 Ebenezer Ave, Rock Hill, SC, 29730. We made the security deposit today! :D
