Advice?

So, Amazon is stopping its DVD rental service, and transferring accounts to lovefilm. I have no idea whether lovefilm is any good, or even what other dvd rental things might be good, so I wondered if anyone could recommend a cheap good one? Just before I throw all my eggs in one basket, just because amazon tells me too!

IS there another one? I don't know. I use lovefilm. :/ I've had a mixed time with them. At first they shipped my DVDs really quickly and then they slowed right down, to the point where I was only getting about 5 DVDs a month on the unlimited package (despite watching/returning the DVDs pretty quickly). Now I'm on the 3-a-month £5.99 package, so I don't really care when it takes them 3 days to ship me a DVD. I had a problem with receiving a cracked disc recently and they responded really quickly, so I think their customer service is okay.

Well, I know, for example, that Blockbuster runs a similar service, but I have no idea how good they are. It sounds as though perhaps lovefilm has got a bit slower as they've grown, maybe... It seems a little expensive too, compared to what I've been paying but I guess my options are a tad limited! Thanks for the input, anyhow :)

I've been using Blockbuster for a while now and found they're much better than LoveFilm at getting me the films I want....I guess they must have more stock as they have shops to supply to? Never tried Amazon though!

I had a voucher for a 4 week free trial, but I think anyone can get a trial on their website blockbuster.co.uk, I'd say try them and see as it won't cost you anything to find out!

I didn't even know that Amazon had a DVD rental service.

I take it that Netflix doesn't do UK?

Yeah, sorry I can't help. I usually just encourage people to steal.
