The West End Ichiban does deserts (not that I can eat any of them).

Is that a recent thing? Last time I went to Dunbarton Road Ichiban was a couple of years ago (along with the missues and a couple of chums) but I'm sure I recall hankering after a dessert and that there was no sign of any.

Yeah, I don't think they always have them on but seem to in the evenings. They have a separate little menu (like they have for the tea) with a cake of some kind and ice-cream type things (including ice-cream in a plastic penguin or cow). There aren't very many to choose from and all dairy based but yeah in the last year or so they have appeared and stayed.

I love ichiban. I think it means 'Number One' in Japanese.
