well, i've come to the conclusion that my skin rejects the sun. i went to the beach on friday... on a mission to get a tan... well, i wore SPF 8 and managed to miss a few small areas (back of my arm, ankle, etc). the funny thing is, i burned in those spots but after 3.5 hours of sitting in the sun, i didn't get a tan AT ALL

Sympathies on the burn/ non-tan... Though I don't know what that's like... I tan nicely and easily.
