Free Katie

Jun 27, 2005 14:57

Since Tom Cruise has decided to fire the publicist who has kept his idiocy carefully hidden from us for all these years and replaced her with his suitably scientologist sister, we've gotten a good glimpse of the real Tom lately.  Well, I mean if you put aside the obvious publicity stunt of a relationship with inappropriate youngster Katie  Holmes ( Read more... )

Now we know why Nicole left him!! He gives a whole new meaning to the term "self-centered". ;)

According to many things I've read, the religion issue was supposedly one of the main reasons for their split. I think she stopped with the scientology gig and went back to Catholicism after learning about the aliens. ;)

Today on a local talk/news show one of the hosts started calling him "Tom Confused". Hahahaha.....I just had to share that. ;)

haha, I bet I know where this came from...he gave an interview the other day where he said that he only liked to have sex when he was in a serious relationship, otherwise it was "confusing".

I wish I could stop reading about him... but it's like a train wreck, you can't help but watch. ;)

Hi Aimee. Hello from a wet and wintery Australia.

How is it all going? Have you got your "Free Katie" T shirt yet. :)

This link below is to an autobiography called 'The Bare Faced Messiah' which is about L Ron H. That shows how "amazing" he was. I am not one to read biographies but I couldn't stop reading this.

Wow...

Thanks so much for that link, epacris!! It is fascinating...still reading!

Also, how are you? So nice to hear from you and I hope you are staying warm. It is chilly here, too...for me anyway. I never thought I'd be wearing sweaters in July! :)

I have a small cold at the moment but generally fine thank you. New house and new job since I last wrote. Both good. Wearing a jumper in the middle of "summer" is a bit much isn't it.

I think that bio is certainly proof that the truth is stranger than fiction.

Enjoy the read and I hope you and Rob have a nice day, epacris

A very interesting entry. I don't care who Tom's "in love" with, but I wish he'd stop flaunting it in front of all of us. Nicole is probably wondering what she ever saw in him.

Did you know Scientology has been outlawed in Germany? They say it's not a religion, it's a cult. Way to go, Germany! It's still in Switzerland, where I live part-time. I was walking in Zuerich last winter and saw and sign proclaiming a "Scientology meeting" that night. Yuk! :(

I really suspect that Nicole was in an arranged relationship with Tom, just like Katie. Who knows the truth except the lawyers, but there have been many rumors that these women are paid and sign contracts. The contract with Katie was reported in the gossip section of the New York times to be 5 million dollars for 5 years.

I didn't know that Germany had outlawed it as a cult...that's interesting. I read that many people in the US seem to feel it is a cult, too. They've had a lot of trouble with the police there regarding their fundraising and taxes. I know that there are some Scientology groups here in Canada, but I haven't seen it on the West Coast so far (although I wasn't really looking very hard).

oh my god, I am so there.

I wonder if they take debit cards in exchange for spiritual enlightenment?

Also, I'm going to add you to my lj list, if that's OK with you. I checked out your journal and I like your writing style.

That was the most interesting story I've read about the whole Tom ordeal. Cynicism at it's finest.

Awww thanks.

I think the whole Tom thing is fascinating... mainly because he is apparently insane and nobody caught on until now. I totally wish we had an alien worship center around Vancouver, it would be popular with all the visiting celebrities...don't you think?

I have to admit that I was fooled myself. Who would question the sanity of America's shortest hunk? Although that clearly explains why Nicole would have left him. I've dated weirdos in the past, but married to an alien worshipper? no thanks.

Well you know...if they reach level 8 in Scientology, they can control other people's minds and stuff (like level 8 kook John Travolta does when he uses mind control to get people to let him make more movies). Too bad Tom didn't reach level 8 before Nicole came to her senses. :(
