I just wanted to say thank you to all of the beautiful people on LJ (like my darling Thia) who have reached out to help the people along the Gulf Coast. As many of you may remember, I was born and raised in New Orleans and my entire family lives there. It's been a rough week... trying to get in touch with family members, not knowing if my friends

I've been thinking a lot about you and your family this week. I'm so glad they're okay, but that's terrible that they lost everything. If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask. I don't know what I could do from here, but you know I'll do anything I can for you! I tried to give blood today at the bloodmobile at my work, but I got denied for being a skinny little bitch...how do you like that?! ;)

I'm trying to raise funds to donate to the red cross but no luck... I'm donating money through work and I may add more later on.

My work has been approached to take pledges for the telethon on ABC so I'll be doing that this Friday if we get it. It's not much but it's the least I can do.

I've been thinking about you a lot lately and wondered if everything and everyone in your family is okay but i've been so couped up with so much stuff and also have been soo sick for the last month and a half that I couldn't do much or email you at least. so sorry darling.
