Ilse makes me forgive everything that bothers me about the Emily series. I adore her.

I will always have a special place in my heart for a character who has opinions about literature!

Most of my favourite characters in any form of literature are female, or, if male, have an equally awesome female counterpart, so the ladylove is as important as it is kind of impossible to ignore. For me, at least.

Total props for Sisi, she is awesome, and as much as she does the "How can I live if I can't be beautiful!?" (Hmm, that's familiar...) she totally learns and grows from it. And then has super cute kids, none the less, and still gets to be a pirate queen!

Also, Sophie, cause come on she is super cool and I want to be her so bad. As much as I am all about Millie and Jane, Sophie is damn cool, especially for putting up with Howl, who is aforementionedly ridiculous.

Mae for Queen of the Universe!

Feel better lovely, and make those girls of yours bake for you or something.

Dude, Sarah Rees Brennan is commenting on your blog, feel totally free to fangirl, I know I am.

I randomly decided to google the phrase "ilse burnley is awesome" (no quotes though) and your blog was on the first page of results. Ilse is my favorite literary character; in fact if I ever actually have a kid and it's a girl I'm naming her after Ilse.

Ilse is amazing, isn't she? Like I said, I'm an Anne girl through and through but Ilse is my favourite best friend in the LM Montgomery novels.
