Bonjour Cheri

So Liz and I traveled to Auckland on Wednesday to see the Maidment Theatre production of The History Boys (Alan Bennett), which is pretty much my favourite play of all time. I have seen the film many times and read the script and own the radio play with the original cast, but never seen a production of it, so this was a chance we couldn't pass up ( Read more... )

A pirate? Really? Poor thing :) I kind of want to see a pirate version of it now though, even though I realise it would be both impractical, and, oh yeah, completely farcical. But, you know, apart from that.

I want exams to be over! I got a perfectly generic email from my Engl lecturer today about the exam and freaked out and thought I'd failed my essay. Which, given that she hasn't marked it yet, is still a possibility, but was approximately no fun at all.

We will catch up after exams! It will be epic! Our love will change the fate of two great nations! Except for the last part.

It was kind of fantastic. Although the less realistic accent of the bunch. But it worked for Timms' character.

What did the generic email say? I freak out about that constantly. One day Geoff will email me and be like 'Aimee, we regret to inform you that you are too stupid to graduate'. But this is only in my darkest hours really.

Well, if our love is going to change the fate of two great nations, I'd best start planning our date, hadn't I?

I am so with you. 'Nope, too dumb. We'll keep your money, but no piece of paper for you'.

It was just what to expect in the exam and so forth.

Okay! I am undecided on what either of the nations are, as yet. Maybe Finland?

It is a deeply concerning thought, yet somehow does not induce me to study more on Sunday nights.

I call dibs on Canada.
