Dongho looked at Mai with worried eyes
She smiled and walked into the cafe
Dongho bought the ice cream as Mai sat down reminising past memories
FLASHBACK~
A young Mai sat on the curb crying her eyes out
young Dongho approached her
"why are you crying?" he asked her
"I miss my daddy. He left me and Mommy"
"that's alright you have me now" Dongho leaned over and peck Mai on the lips, then smiled as he wiped her tears
END OF FLASHBACK ~
"what are you daydreaming about?" Dongho scoffed
Startled, Mai removed her elbows from the table "n-nothing"
she grabbed the ice cream cone and made a face at dongho
Dongho, Mai's bestfreind since childhood
but she has also had feelings for him since the day she met him
She did not confess for she was afraid he did not like her
unfortunately she didnt know he felt the same way
"I gotta go to work in half an hour. Are you gonna come?"
"i'll take you there but i dont i can stay. i have something to do" dongho replied
she smiled and nodded
"Melanie! you're here!"
Mai smiled and bowed politely
you see, 'Melanie' is known to be a very pretty model whose on the rise to fame
Mai sat down in the makeup chair and waved goodbye to Dongho
She let out a giant sigh as Dongho left
The only reason she is a model is to pay for her living fees
Her mother, the only family she has left had become a gambler soon after her father had died
In hopes of gaining money her mother began to gamble
However she became addicted to gambling and owed money to loan sharks
In effort to save her family, the only thing she could do was to earn money
