Sunday - Breaking the news.
It wasn't until some time on Sunday afternoon that Stephen was able to call Tess and leave a voicemail, after he had gotten a prognosis from Michael's doctor. It wasn't really a good prognosis, but at least he had something to say rather than "I don't know."
"Hey Tess," Stephen said as soon as he got her voicemail. "We found Michael, he's... He was in surgery most of the morning, so he's just been sleeping. The doctor says that he's going to need some days in order to be out of danger completely, but now that he's getting the proper meds and treatment he hopes that it'll just be a matter of days."
He sighed under his breath, turning towards Michael's room for a brief moment. "We caught Charlie, but we're still looking for Alena. Anyway, give me a call if you want more information. Or, if something changes before I hear from you, I'll give you a call again."
After giving her the information of the hospital anyway, he hung up and went to the waiting area.
