I have successfully completed my first semester of grad school, even though I did hit a low point for a couple of weeks and thought I'd end up dropping out.  My grades:  Satisfactory, B+, B, B, and an A in Political Advertising.  Woo, I rock!  The class that I had such a hard time in was the one in which I ended up getting a B+.  Isn't that kinda

So, what aspect of advertising are you looking to work in? Account Exec? Creative?

And I can tell you that just about anywhere you go there is going to be pretty fierce competition for jobs. Advertising is tough like that, but once you're in, it's cool.

I want to work in Creative, but as soon as I entered grad school, I started hearing that you have to go to portfolio school to get on the Creative team. Since I've already spent a lot of money on my first semester of grad school, I'm not planning on switching tracks to portfolio school. I'm hoping that maybe I can work near the Creative side and work my way into it. At the very least, I think I will have a strong enough background to be a desirable researcher.
