Ellie walked up the hill, lugging a big picnic basket. She took a deep breath.

"Feel that breeze! Isn't it the most delicious thing?"

"Smells like rain," Sokka replied.

He's not much of a gentleman, is he, Ellie? Why wasn't he carrying the big picnic basket? Well, because he was carrying the blanket, of course. Something wasn't right about the division of labor, but since she'd insisted, he hadn't bothered to argue. "Now are you going to tell me what you brought or do I have to guess some more?"

Ellie rolls her eyes affectionately. "Gloomy gus," she said. "You and Carl are like two peas in a pod!

"And no, I'm not going to tell you what I brought," she said primly. "Not until you guess."

"Are you going to do this to Carl when you have this fated date with him for real? Or am I just lucky enough to be your guinea pig for torturing?" Because Sokka totally didn't mind no matter the answer, but he certainly liked to make Ellie squirm a little.

[tapping his communicator and scowling]

[YOU ARE IN THE SOUTH POLE, THEY DON'T GET RECEPTION THERE, OKAY?]

[Sokka, spear in hand, taps this under-dressed man on the shoulder and speaks up.] Are you lost, or something? Because if you are, this is polar leopard territory and you probably don't want to be just... standing there. Unless you want to be eaten, I mean. [Shrug.]

I think I'm lost. Unless this is Centurus 6. [Which is supposedly a lush, green paradise. Yeeeeeeeeeeeah, he's pretty sure he's lost.]

[Sokka points at the expanse of snow and ice.] Ocean's that way. [And he points in another direction.] Or that way. Or that way. Or that way. Pretty much any which way you go will get you there.

[As planned, Suki heads over to Sokka's room. She has no idea why she's doing this, but she knows that she has to. When she reaches the door, she knocks politely at the door, half wanting to turn away, but forcing herself to stay.]

[He's still sort of moving his meager belongings around, so he isn't really expecting company, but hey, housewarmings are nice, right? Sokka brushes his hands off and swings the door open to find...]

Suki? I thought we were meeting for breakfast tomorrow. [He looks behind him conspiratorially, jokingly asking:] Is it morning already?

[She tries to smile, but it just looks forced and depressed. The laugh she gives doesn't really help either.]

No, I just wanted to see you now. Can I come in?

[That's... that's weird. Sokka nods and smiles a little as he gestures her inside.] Yeah, definitely, come on in.

[OH SHIT! It's a PONY! And she freaking SEES you and just....

Who are you? I've never seen anything like you before! You aren't a pony are you? You can't be a pony, because ponies have hoofs. You have a mane though. Where's your cutie mark?

Wait... this isn't Ponyville. Do you know where we are... OHMIGOODNESS! I never asked your name! What kinda pony am I? Talk about awful. Well, my newestest of new friends! What's your name? You can call me Pinkie Pie!

[Pinkie Pie? Sokka mouths it to himself, thinking perhaps he'd taken some kind of blow to the head. Rubbing his noggin, he laughs a little awkwardly and forces himself to respond.] I'm Sokka. And I'm not a... pony. I'm a man. Who doesn't live in Ponyville and has never even heard of it.

But... it's nice to meet you? Pinkie Pie? [This last bit's so uncertain, it comes out as questions!]
