Not sure how many of you read Orson Scott Card, but he's an amazing sci-fi writer, and his book Ender's Game is a wonderful read.

Ugh. I hate it when authors I love prove to be complete assholes in one respect.

It won't stop me from buying his books--good writing is good writing; Piers Anthony is an asshat, too, but he still writes well--but it will definitely color my view of him and his underlying themes.

That's not the first the first time he's spouted off against homosexuality in articles. Funny that he's taking umbrage at being labeled a 'homophobe' when what he has to say about homosexuals is much more insulting and demeaning.

He's on my list of authors to avoid at all costs.

I loved all of his early books, but I stopped reading his stuff several years ago when his religious agenda started seeping into his books, notably the Ender's Shadow series. Women only exist to perpetuate the species while genius man-children rule the earth, oh look at me I'm such a genius at geopolitics, blah, blah, blah. I fucking hate that son of a bitch.

Ender's Game is being made into a comic, though. I'm torn.
