Between everything that's been happening in my personal life, I've neglected to mention anything about my professional/career life. I may as well fill you all in because I'm very confused as to what to do.

Eek, that's a hard decision. I'd try to find a job that would offer a more permanent placement. It seems like the Dublin job is a quick fix to your Cork situation. Then again, if you are really miserable with your job right now and you don't know if another project will come up in Cork, I'd take the job in Dublin because I personally hate working in places that I don't like.

Career opportunities are always difficult as don't always lead down the road you expect them to. Hopefully something you like and that fits your career ambitions will come along soon in Cork. :)

Where in India are you going?

If you think this other job isn't really a fit for you, and you're sure you'll be looking again soon, it might make sense to keep looking from where you are now.

Uh, that was helpful, wasn't it?

This might seem kinda silly since it's what I'm doing but have you thought about doing an MBA? (or do they not have them in Ireland). I feel like it's a pretty good way to move up in the world.

You said two things about the Dublin job that make me think that it is definitely a "no" for you. One is that it isn't management, and that is what you are looking for. That right there is enough reason to say no. And to add the fact that you really don't want to be in Dublin makes the idea of taking that job a definite no.

Keep looking in Cork.
