So we went to All Children's Friday.  Even though we had to wait quite awhile, the Nurse Practitioner and the Doc were very nice.  They diagnosed Kammy with GERD (Gasteroesophagal Reflux Disease) and gave her a prescription for Zantac Liquid that we have to give her twice daily.  She takes it like a champ!  They also gave me a lab order to get some ( Read more... )

Hmm... guess it's been a little while since I've 'updated'.  Not a whole lot is new around here, really.... same ol' same ol'.  Of course nearly all of my time is consumed these days by taking care of Kamryn....not that I'm 'bitching'... Soo... we had Kamryn's Debut party yesterday.  It was supposed to be an "open house" type party, so that people could come from 3-7pm in stages and see the baby, etc...munching on various foods that we had prepared... as it turns out just about everyone on the guest list showed up around 3, so the house was absolutely filled to the brim with people ( Read more... )

Don't get me wrong, things get rough sometimes...between feeding all the time and trying to get her to breastfeed exclusively, getting up througout the night with her....etc.....but all in all I think I'm doing fairly well.  She's getting the hang of it most days, sometimes it's a challenge.  Marc and I are learning well I think.  We worked on her ( Read more... )

I had a doctor's appointment today..... my incision isn't looking so hot, so they wanted to check it out.  It's infected....it hurts, and it's oozing. (nice, isn't it?)  They put me on antibiotics and I have to go back tomorrow at 2 for them to recheck it.  If it doesn't look better, they are going to have to take out my staples and just let it ( Read more... )
