Random thoughts on the reading of slash subtext into dialogue.
Just something I have thinking about. There are probably lots of better examples but here are some that stuck with me.
Ways Fraser said I love you to Ray Vecchio in canon without saying the words:
1) Yeah, well that’s probaby why you and I have been such close-- (RWOB)
2) Oh, that’s very clever, Ray. (RWOB)
3) No, Ray. I know you. You were attempting to protect this institution-- (Vault)
4) Ray, Ray, Ray. (take your pick)
5) You know, I think there are certain things you'd live to regret in your life. Losing your friendship would be one of them, and losing her...(VS)
6) You should take the deal. You should take it anyway. (VS)
