Year in Review, and other Mental Spewings
First day back at school... Class wasn't too bad; Business, Government and Society, today. Seems a bit GPish. Might have enjoyed it more if not for my horrible timetable - class on Mon is from 3.30-6.45pm. i hate my timetable =_=
But enough griping (for now >=P) Inspired by an entry off arrch's page...
January...
Started previous (and now long abandoned) blog at pitas.com. More importantly, Ratal was born! =D Some people started it not knowing what it was ~ XD Also, joined deviantArt due to persuasion from nescienx ^-^ Finally, had horrible sleep study done at a certain hospital-that-shall-not-be-named, which destroyed any delusions i may have had regarding the intelligence levels of particular members of staff there.
February...
Went to Sydney at the end of the month for a wedding ^_^ i think i started the illustration course in Feb. Or was it March? ^^; Went for short C course as well.
March...
SARS broke out while we were still in Sydney, and grew even more widespread after we'd returned. Though it's but a distant shadow and a thought for most now, it was a very scary time. i believe that the war in Iraq was also on around then. On a lesser note, A-level results came out, also while was still in Aus. Was also in Sydney when JC posting results came out, in 2000 ^^;
April...
Was supposed to have a Hobbits stayover on my birthday, but because of SARS, decided it'd be safer not to. Went out for lunch then came home and drew for the rest of the afternoon. Ah well, better than year before - had GP CA in the morn, then was dragged to bowling alley (where i'd ended up drawing too XD) Had our first Ratal gathering that month, a day or two before my SMU interview, which consisted of interview and short essay. Whee.

Couldn't go to watch movie on Cookie's birthday with her, as SARS was still lurking, and thought it'd be safer not to. Went for short Java course in May, i think. Not that i remember any of it ^^:
June...
Had the series of Ratal stayovers ^__^ Was lots of fun, especially the first one at ranchelle's where i had a grand total of about half an hours sleep XD Discovered the joys of sugar sausages and was the first time we had our traditional Ratal meal, consisting of said sausages, choc chip pancakes and mushrooms XD

nescienx went to Syd T_T Got an LJ, thanks to aefallen *glomps her* ^___^
August...
Collected my laptop on the 1st, which was (dis)orientation day at SMU. Started school.
September...
aefallen went to London T_T Otherwise, nothing much other than the necessary evil of school.
October...
More school. Bleh. Became a Jedi XD (Oh alright, Bant's not one technically... but in spirit! =P) Projects started piling.
November...
More with the piling of projects. Hate school. Hate school. Hate school.
December...
Holidays at last! nescienx and aefallen came back ^_____^ Did not get to have stayover for either Hobbits or Ratal, sadly =( But at least got to see them at least a couple of times ^_^ And had WC gathering too at c_dreamcatcher's, which was very nice too. Finally got to read Fool's Fate ^__^ F/F~!!! Attended my first cosplay, Fan-tasia. On the down side, had to take Jave briding course, which is still ongoing. Hate school. Hate school. Hate school. Return of the King released *hearts* But sad it's over T__T Waiting for Extended Edition.
Here endeth the summary of my year.
Had rather strange dream early this morning. Guest stars in my dream included one of the Malcom in the Middle actors (must be because had watched an episode yesterday), some one who might have been Jack Osbourne (because of the hair) and some other actors, but primarily Billy Boyd (dressed as PT). Why, i have no idea. i don't even like any of those actors at all =_= BB alright, though don't particularly like him that much. Am not Pervy Hobbit Fancier XD Seemed we were all on some holiday tour bus o_O;; i have such weird dreams sometimes. Dream!me, whoever i was, seemed to be wearing a yellow Asuka like sundress ^^; Bus must have stopped somewhere, as i got out. Was walking along what i think was a suspension bridge with BB, and somehow ended up in a factory like place. As was walking through, suddenly saw people in white coats. Seemed some psychotic blind priest with strange powers had escaped from confinement. (o_O WTH?) What followed was an extremely bizarre chase/confusion scene, with all these people running here and there trying to confuse the escapee. woke up not long after. i have Such Weird Dreams >_o;;;
Last random ramble... After complaining to ranchelle the other day that my Poetry Muse had abandoned me (again), he must have felt guilty. Sent me short poem idea today. Partially inspired a phrase i thought of while replying to an entry nescienx made recently, which PM took and ran away with, and twisted to his own fancy. As usual.

The shadows dim and lengthen
As the night begins to fall,
For no more does your laughter light
Shine through this empty hall.
The flowers you last brought here
Wait and wither by the bed,
For the phonecall that won't come
And weep petals from bowed heads.
I won't wonder where you went to,
If you'll ever come again,

Resolutions made in vain.
Now down another hallway,
