Poem: Untitled Poem, Frodo/Aragorn

Jul 07, 2008 18:33

The purpose of this post is so that I can give alchehmilla and trianne something for their birthdays. I'm a bit late for one and barely early for the other, but posting in between seems to work somehow, right? ::grins::

What I've come up with is actually born of a long-ago chat. I felt that it belonged in more of a poem format, so I've reworked it accordingly, and ( Read more... )

It's not even remotely rude! ::beams and fans you:: And you didn't beat Alch by much. ::chuckles::

I wondered if you would see this, and I was actually slightly nervous about what you would think, since your Frodo/Aragorn experience vastly surpasses mine (OK, that's an understatement). So I'm very pleased and relieved that this seems to have passed muster! ::grins:: Thank you!

Hello there! I've read and enjoyed your excellent feedback of other people's work many, many times over the years, so I'm especially thrilled to have received some of my own. Thanks so much! ::smiles::

Thank you - you're very kind!

Looking at your journal, I see that you wrote that gorgeous Viggo/Elijah ("Morten-san") from a few years back which I still remember reading. I encourage you to write some more! I love sensual, lyrical fiction; it's such a rarity. I promise to keep giving you feedback. *bribes*

P.S. Hope you don't mind my friending you...

Ah yes, "Any Other Middle of the Night". ::smiles:: I have a soft spot for that one, so it's great to hear that you still remember it. Thanks very much for your encouragement. It's been such a long time since I've written, but I did enjoy doing this, so who knows? I have to admit, your bribe is an extremely tempting one. I'll definitely keep it in mind. ::grins::

And I'm happy to be friended -- welcome aboard!

Neither and both.

Perfect ending to a lovely, hot poem and a nice surprise to see.

Hope you're well.

Neither and both.

It was largely a surprise to me, too, to be honest. Who would have thought? Thanks for the nice feedback. I know how much attention you give to poems (not to mention endings), so I appreciate your take on this.

By the way, I would have used my "fall of the leaf" icon if LJ had let me access it.
