Haiku You

(Original haiku)

Happy birthday to claudia603 (a day late). I'm afraid these are in the "style" of my previous haiku, so they're not wildly naughty like yours. ::chuckles:: I hope you'll enjoy them all the same. And forgive me, but I just had to counter all the Frodo/Faramir. You still have a soft spot for Boromir, don't you?Frodo knows this well ( Read more... )

er. *hides behind that rock some more, for adding to the Frodo/Faramir*

But this-- yes. Lovely. Esp. the first one, so delightfully ambiguous. Could mean anything-- his fiercest yearning is for his father to accept his brother, for the pressure to be off him-- but we know what's meant. We know what it *really* is, and of course, Frodo does too. Very nice.

Ambiguity can be fun, especially when you're trying to use it in only seventeen syllables. ::chuckles:: I wanted to show that Boromir might not be as obvious as some would believe. The Fellowship might think they knew what he longed for, but they were wrong. And the real yearning was not as it appeared, for it could hardly be perceived, yet it was far from mild. But Frodo knew the truth.

I'm glad you enjoyed. :)

hee hee, unlike azrhiaz, I chose the utterly smutty path by interpreting it as Boromir's yearning being for him.

And I'm afraid I'm incorrigible -- I just wrote Frodo/Halbarad -- ack!

Thank you for the lovely haiku!!
