GIP and tweakage

I've had my original "Tease" icon from the beginning. It was the first icon I made. It's always been part of my LJ identity. When I finally made a second "Tease", I intended to let it be my new default icon (at least for a time). Then I realized that if I did that, it would move the original one from its place of honor at the top of my user pics ( Read more... )

It's beautiful. I quite like what you've done with the place. *smiles*

::grins:: Thank you. It's not exactly a major renovation, but it's something. I'm glad you approve.

Viggo/Elijah

Oh don't you lie to me! He waves the paper in the air.

Viggo ducks into the bedroom, closing the door against Elijah's loud rambling, pressing his cheek to the wood.

What you are doing, Viggo says calmly, is not helping anything. I was going to tell you.

Viggo hears the long textured rush of fabric against the door and knows Elijah's slid down.

Yeah? When?

Whenever it was best.

Viggo, nothing is ever the best for you. You're too goddamn optimistic; you always think it'll get better.

I'm sorry, Viggo says, wrapping his hand around the doorknob and cracking space between the door and the frame.

I forgive you, but only because it's London.

I knew you'd come around.

You should have given me more time to pack, though.

::winces:: Oh hell, is this reply late! You couldn't have known this but I've been away from LJ since the beginning of November. I'm not actually "back", for that matter, but I had to tell you that I did find this.

Thank you for my drabble! I like how tactile it is, each touch always against something inanimate, in lieu of the other person. Viggo, placidly riding out Elijah's storm. Elijah, running out of steam in the wake of Viggo's conviction and, perhaps unexpectedly, his apology.

Viggo hears the long textured rush of fabric against the door and knows Elijah's slid down. That's my favorite line. Viggo knows where Elijah is and what he's doing by the sound he makes. Most importantly, he can hear Elijah's body position. It tells him that Elijah's on the verge of giving in, because if he were going to keep railing, he'd try to open the door. I love that kind of subtle indication ( ... )
