profanity: n. evidence of the lack of colorful vocabulary

I really don't understand why people resort to name calling and profanity when someone provides a counter-argument in a discussion. It makes it impossible to respect your opinion when all you can do in response is say "you're a #%(#%& moron and your mom's a #(*^&#% who #(%*#^% [insert verb here] a #%(@^&*#% [insert animal/inanimate object here ( Read more... )

There's a saying in Puerto Rico that goes "La razón no grita, convence," meaning "Reason doesn't yell, it convinces" (sounds better in Spanish). I've always found that phrase to be so true.
