*directed at Nintendo of Japan* Thank you for distributing a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT which has DEAD PIXELS and then safely tucking yourself away with a disclaimer (in the manual) that says it is NOT A DEFECT. I wonder if half of my SCREEN was gone would you replace it then ( Read more... )

To be fair they're not the only ones who do this. Dead/stuck pixels are a fact of LCD manufacturing and the only way to make them affordable is to declare a certain number of them acceptable, otherwise they'd be throwing out most of the panels that got manufactured. LCD TVs/monitors have them, the PSP has them, laptops have them, etc. I know it sucks, but there's not a lot that can be done about it unless you want to be paying extortionate prices for even a small LCD.

either way, Nintendo of USA actually will replace no matter the ammount. just annoying that they have different policies. bleh. luckly my psp doesn't have it.
