Personal History: Ainsleigh comes from a Scottish family with no magical history, so Ainsleigh's acceptance came as a huge shock to them. They are, as all Scots are, fiercely proud of their country and take great offense to any insults. Ainsleigh's father owns and runs a very successful farming business and prides himself on raising some of the best livestock in the county of Ayrshire. Her mother is a doctor and spends a lot of time at the hospital, meaning she doesn't see a lot of her family. Ainsleigh has a younger brother (Cameron, 10) and a younger sister (Iona, 7), who now both hope to follow in her footsteps and be accepted to Hogwarts. Ainsleigh has been figureskating since she was young, and had hoped to become a professional. However, since she discovered that she was a witch, her future is more uncertain as she wants to explore the opportunities of the wizarding world before making a decision. As she was growing up in the Muggle world, Ainsleigh was completely oblivious to the Gryffindor/Slytherin fued and all the fuss made about blood status by some people. Since arriving at Hogwarts, she soon realised that not everyone is as friendly as she is and not everyone is willing to accept her, which came as something of a shock. Although it hasn't changed how she treats people, she is a lot more wary when someone tells her they're in Slytherin because she's had bad experiences with some students from that House. She completely ignores the fued because as far as she's concerned, she's in Hufflepuff and it's nothing to do with her. Blood status doesn't matter to her either as she's of the view that if someone is at Hogwarts, then they're obviously worthy of being there.
Personality: Ainsleigh is a very bubbly, friendly girl, willing to accept anyone because she believes in letting them prove themselves rather than judging them on first impressions. This does include people in Slytherin, because although she's had bad experiences with some, she recognizes that they're not all that way and while she's more wary, she still gives them a chance. She's very easygoing, and although she does have a temper, it rarely appears as she prefers to talk things through rather than argue about them so it takes a lot to get her angry. She often tends to ramble when she gets talking on a subject that interests her, and can be accused of talking too much. When she's figureskating, Ainsleigh is very graceful but when she's off the ice she can be very clumsy, often knocking things over or dropping them. She often gives second chances to people as she believes everyone is allowed to make one mistake. She enjoys school and gives her all in the classes that she enjoys, often neglecting the ones she's not so good at. Despite being very outgoing and chatty, Ainsleigh has not had much luck with boys so far. She's had crushes, but has not had a boyfriend yet and while she'd like to have one, it's not a top priority for her. She just takes life as it comes and if that includes a boyfriend, then she'll deal with it when it happens. At the moment she's quite happy to hang out with her friends and concentrate on her favourite lessons while trying to decide what she wants to do in the future. During her time at Hogwarts, she has become more confident about her abilities and would have liked to be a Prefect, as she has a small ambition to be Head Girl, but she wasn't too disappointed when she wasn't chosen. She has quite happily gone through her first four years not drawing much attention to herself and basically just getting on with it. At times she has been quite glad that some of her classmates are more attention seeking than herself. While she does like to have a good time and have a laugh, she feels that there's a time and place for it, and it's usually not in the classroom. She prefers to work in lessons and mess about outside of them.
Physical Description: She is average height and build for her age, if a little on the thin side due to all the previous training she has done for figureskating. She has shoulder length, dark blonde hair and brown eyes.
