"Embellishing" a little might be acceptable in a flirt, but... There has to be a core of truth for it to be charming in the greater scheme of things - and there has to be a sense of equal worth.
I was called out for mansplaining on Facebook the other day, and it kind of hurts me when that happens - mainly because either the person is obviously right and there's a lesson for me to learn, or because I wasn't actually mansplaining but just being a gender-neutral jerk.
Anyway, congrats on being flirted with by a handsome man! I would say I am envious - but then I guess I got flirted with on Saturday last week and only realised it the next day... I mean, if a guy says "you look nice", then I guess answering "I hope I amnice" and then turn around and continue talking to my friend is a sure way of killing that potential.
