Computer question

Apr 17, 2004 13:44

The fan is out on my computer. My brother told me to turn it off until I can replace the fan so I don't wreck the computer.

I have a small fan that I could hook up and blow into the back of the computer. Does anyone know it it will work? I really don't want to be offline for a couple months. He hasn't gotten back to me on it.

Anyone?

A replacement fan costs about $5. Putting another fan external and running it is not a wise decision, though.

Why was I given such a high quote for a fan if all they are going to run is 5-10 bucks? Someone was trying to bend me over and fit something in where it doesn't belong.

The quote was probably mostly labour.

Yeah, labor at bending me over. It is hard work.

I just remembered something!!!

My first computer from college had it's power supply go out and I lost everything!!!

all of my college papers--- everything.

But I had to fight tooth and nail to get a replacement under the Lemon policy that Best Buy had back when I bought it. So I couldn't just take out the hardrive and Tim for some reason couldn't back it up for me.

This computer is old, there is no way I could take it back to where I originally got it from.

No - that's not what I meant - what I was worried about was you losing all of your files!

**now I'm stressed out just thinking about that again and worrying about you!!!***

ACK! I didn't think about losing all my files. I have the rest of the outline of my book on the computer. GUess I better spend some time backing up the computer.
