Poll I want to read something...

I plan on going to the library tomorrow to pick up something to read *GASP* Actually getting out of the house to go somewhere. Any suggestions would be gladly considered. Putting the author in is a plus.

These are great for a start thanks.

I read Slaughter House as a kid. The rest I don't think I have read.

prozac nation was a great read -- I started reading Elizabeth Wurtzel's next book - Bitch - but it is hard for me to get through because it is mostly a rant so far.

I just wanted to let you know a little about The Phantom Tollbooth if you've never come across it. I think it's the greatest book for children and adolescents because it's all about learning and sparking creativity, and at the same time, a BLAST for adults to read too. Great for reading to your children. It's a fast read (if I recall it's around 100 - 150 pages) with big print and hand drawn pictures. It's a novel as opposed to your standard children's book with pictures and I think it's only available in paperback. I accredit that book to developing my writing and creativity skills at an early age and I reread it every year or so and have been rereading it for about 15 years.

Hope that helps.

I saw you liked Ender's Game after I put it as a second choice. I love all of those books, Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, all of them are good. Another good Orson Scott Card book, but on a completely different level, more fantasy than sci-fi is Enchantment. Loved it.

Yeah, I haven't figured out how to see the poll results without taking the poll myself. LOL!

I love the Ender's Game series. Actually most of the things OSC writes I love. I wish I had a fraction of his talent for writing.

Have you heard that they are in the process of writing a movie about Ender's Game?
