This is so lovely to read. It's so wonderful that you and Alex have such a strong relationship - and I agree that being able to talk about things really openly and honestly (and without feeling bad about what you have to say) is so important.
I was just thinking about you guys the other day - how long have you been together, again? I had forgotten that you knew each other in high school, if I ever actually knew that. But I knew once you were together, it was like magnets. =)
I'm not against finding people online. I've dated a few guys that way, and I think it's really great that I can get along with them on a personal/emotional level before physical attraction factors in. I used to be...not shallow really, but very into physical looks when I was younger. So I dated a lot of boring, unfunny guys. I like being able to sort them by personality first, haha. I think personality chemistry is super important. Not that you can't get that in person first, either! I haven't gone as far as to sign up for match.com or anything though, I think that's almost TOO "scientific."
