I read a bit of that article you first linked and he sounds like an extremely interesting fellow. It's sad when such intelligent and charismatic public figures pass... they really do take on a kind of face or voice for their times.

Wow, I hadn't heard he died. His voice was so unforgettable. So many memories from when we were kids listening to him broadcast on the radio. One of the greats.
