Sorry, but in my mind once a cheater, always a cheater. I hope you put him thru absolute hell for him to get you back so he realizes that you are not just some foolish plaything that he can run around on willy-nilly. You need to demand respect, (not in a " you shall bow down to me"way) and if he honestly thinks that you should forgive him, you shouldn't. and he should thank is fuck'n lucky stars that you are trying to work on things. But honestly sweety, I don't think you're gonna have a whole lot of fun in your relationship now because you will always have doubts about where he is and his truthfulness. Sorry to be so honest, but I don't want to just make you think it'll be instantly rosie again. You're gonna have to trust me on this one. Because I had to learn the hard way, nd even tho it was a long time ago, I had to really learn to have faith in my relationships, because not everyone is a scumbag.
