Sadly, yes it can. We have all sorts of harsh weather, from sand storms, to nuclear winter threats, to acid rain. You can't take the weather for granted where I'm from.

I am no stranger to harsh weather, truly. Particularly sand storms, which can spring up in a moment. But I have never heard of a...nuclear winter, or raining acid.
