you know what else is weird: i didn't know grammar made you happy. that's really cool in a bizarre sort of way.
how long did your essay have to be?

argh. i've spent the past 30 minutes trying to get my comp to let me onto the net, rebooting my computer, and then loosing the comment i had saved before doing all this. bloody thing...

anyways, my comment in shortened form:

well, neither did i, really, but then he was talking about comma splices and semicolons and the OXFORD COMMA, which i love because i've used it all these years and people kept telling me that it was wrong. i am now VINDICATED! yes. i know it is sad, shutup.

it was only 650 words, but there was a lot of thinking involved. which, there should be, this being an essay and all...

and there was something else, but i've forgotten it now, and can only remember that i was sad about it. Oh yes! my email has ceased to work. this makes me sad. I shall now have to write a strongly worded letter that I will be unable to send because my email isn't working, and it's a vicious cycle. *nods*

(what do you want to bet that this comment will be destroyed, too?)

so what is the miraculous oxford comma?

and this comment wasn't destroyed so i'm not exactly sure what's going on. but i hope your email is working.

do you happen to have a midterm break from Feb 13-17ish by any chance?

umm, no clue about the reading break dates, but I'll check on that.

the oxford comma: "In the Goblet of Fire, I loved the Twins, Cedric's slashfest, and Rita Skeeter's comments to Harry about "feeling at home in the closet."
