Well one week later it took a bizarre turn that I’m not sure is better or worse. This post will be sorta short.
As mentioned, I showered, slept, and that was the end to all my cramps/pain for the rest of the day. And similarly, since that day, I’ve had 0 cramps. I had a little bit of spotting the 1st day, but that was also about it. For most people, I’ve heard that cramping & spotting goes on for the next 2-3 days, which I’ve had the luck to not have happen. :3
What did end up happening was a lot of brownish/orangeish vaginal discharge/liquid. That turned out to be the spray medicine/stuff that was leaving my body after the procedure. That’s alright. Checking my strings was kind of difficult cause my fingers are kinda short. It was fairly easy the first day so I had no problems with that and just felt like 2 little wires. The next day, it took me several attempts and I was afraid it had moved, but I eventually felt it. I didn’t check again until Tuesday and I couldn’t feel the strings at all but my gyno assured me that as long as I didn’t feel any parts of the IUD itself, I should be fine (plus, it’d be kind of hard to ignore an IUD sliding out of my vagina, which I feared when going to the bathroom the first couple times).
Back to the concern about the vaginal discharge/liquid though, it’s still going on, but regularly, whereas spotting is blood that’s supposed to be sporadic/irregular. If it was mucus yellow or mucus green, at that point it would be an infection and cause for immediate concern. This unknown fluid confuses me a little so some confidential stuff is going on in the background.
If things turn out alright, I’ll probably post a week 2 update and then monthly updates for the first 6 months or so? Mostly for myself but also for review purposes?
